Design intent: fully specified, not yet built

The specified workflow

Five steps from a reported fault to a confirmed, evidenced fix

This is the core workflow as specified. Nothing here is running yet; it describes what Worksmith is designed to do.

  1. 01

    A request is raised

Staff log a fault, a request or a planned preventive maintenance job, tagged with its location and category at the point of intake.

  2. 02

    The job is routed

Worksmith assigns the work order to the right maintenance team, or out to the external contractor who covers that trade or site.

  3. 03

    The SLA clock starts

Each priority tier carries its own clock. When a target is at risk or breached, the work order escalates rather than sitting silently.

  4. 04

    History accrues against the asset

Every work order stays attached to its room, floor or fixed asset, so repeat faults and the full service record are visible in one place.

  5. 05

    Completion is signed off

The engineer closes with photo evidence, and the original requester confirms the work before the order is treated as done.

Register purpose: facilities service, maintenance and work orders.
